Greetings, Journal Readers.

By now most of you have taken down holiday decorations and put away your holiday wares in an effort to return your home "back to normal." In my January 2004 letter I wrote about my New Year's resolution to become more organized in 2004. After purchasing several large storage containers this time last year, I was determined to get things in order. Now, twelve months later my closets and home are a bit more organized thanks to the motivating words and ideas in Professional Organizer, Cyndy Ratcliffe's articles. Had our paths not crossed, I would still be collecting and keeping "things." As I enter the start of another New Year, I will continue to organize and discard items no longer needed. Cyndy, many thanks to you for making a difference!

Our featured North Carolinian this month is Dr. Dianne Boardley Suber, President, Saint Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dr. Suber is another woman who has definitely made a difference for others in her role as the tenth and FIRST FEMALE President at Saint Augustine's College. Dr. Suber's long list of achievements during her tenure at the College can be attributable to her vision, drive and courage - courage to take risks for the betterment of the College and the advancement of the students.

Also in this month's Journal you'll find several great articles on helping you get a jumpstart on the New Year. There's no better time than now to make changes in your life to help you live the life you desire. Change doesn't come easy; if you plan your work and work your plan, you'll reap great rewards.

Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life.

Make this your great year!
