Happy
Holidays
from
Kuwait
By
the
time
of
this
publishing,
I
will
have
been
in
Kuwait
for
over
100
days.
Much
has
unfolded
during
this
short
time.
I
have
gone
from
being
the
new
kid
on
the
block
where
I
only
knew
one
person
to
developing
friendships
and
professional
relationships
with
many.
From
the
offset,
I
was
separated
from
my
unit
to
serve
as
a
LNO
(Liaison
Officer)
for
our
higher
headquarters
at
Camp
Arifjan.
My
unit,
the
730th
Quartermaster
Battalion,
remained
about
1.5
hours
north
of
Arifjan
at
Camp
Virginia.
I
was
delighted
when
the
113th
Field
Artillery
Brigade
from
Greensboro,
NC
joined
me
at
Arifjan.
Today
we
have
adjusted
to
our
new
home.
As
the
holidays
approach,
we
deeply
miss
our
family
and
friends
in
North
Carolina,
but
we
are
able
to
find
strength
in
each
other.
Together
we
are
able
to
sing
away
the
blues
and
celebrate
the
season.
We
wish
all
our
fellow
Carolinians
a
Happy
Holiday
Season.
We
will
be
back
soon!
